Transshipment
We specialise in air-to-air transshipment through our strategic hubs in Colombo, Male, Bangkok, Dubai, Mauritius and Hong Kong, with sea-to-air, sea-to-sea and cargo rework services through Colombo and the Maldives.
Transshipment is what you use when there is no economical direct service — or when the direct service is full. Cargo is brought into a hub, re-manifested, and moved onward on the next best leg. Done badly it adds cost and risk; done properly it is often the cheapest way to hold a delivery date.
Our experienced and dedicated team ensures smooth and efficient handling at each hub, and coordinates every stage where your shipment needs mode conversion, consolidation, reworking or onward transshipment. Cost-effective air-to-air services let you move cargo seamlessly to destinations worldwide while maintaining high standards of speed, security and operational efficiency.

Mode conversion
Sea in, air out — the classic way to recover a slipped production schedule without paying full airfreight from origin.
Rework at hub
Re-palletising, re-marking and repacking done at the hub so the cargo meets the destination requirement.
Six hubs
Colombo, Male, Bangkok, Dubai, Port Louis and Hong Kong give us alternatives when a lane closes.
One accountable file
Every leg sits under one reference with one person answering for it, not three separate agents.
Common questions
When does sea-to-air beat direct airfreight?
Typically on long-haul lanes where the first leg is cheap by sea and only the final leg needs the speed of air. It usually lands between full sea and full air on both cost and transit time — we will run the numbers for your specific origin and deadline.
Is my cargo secure while it sits at a hub?
Cargo is held in bonded facilities, handled under our control and inspected on arrival at the hub. Where the consignment is high-value we arrange dedicated custody and report its condition before it moves onward.
Can you rework cargo that arrives incorrectly packed?
Yes. Re-palletising, re-strapping, re-labelling and repacking are part of our rework service through Colombo and the Maldives, and they are far cheaper than a refusal at destination.
